Our Child Protection Policy is guided by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania, including the Law of the Child Act, as well as internationally recognised child rights and safeguarding standards.
Olasiva is committed to: providing safe, inclusive, and welcoming environments for every child; protecting children from abuse, neglect, exploitation, bullying, and all forms of harm; promoting respect, dignity, equality, and the rights of every child; listening carefully to children's voices; acting immediately whenever there is concern about a child's safety; and working together with families, schools, communities, and relevant authorities.
This policy applies to Board Members, Staff, Mentors, Volunteers, Facilitators, Consultants, Interns, Visitors, Partner organisations, and Contractors -- everyone representing Olasiva shares responsibility for protecting children.
Olasiva has zero tolerance for physical, emotional or sexual abuse, harassment, bullying, exploitation, neglect, discrimination, grooming, or any behaviour that places a child at risk. Any allegation is taken seriously and responded to immediately.
